Why We Exist
Born from a Belief.
Rent A Dress Boutique was born from a simple observation: the most beautiful gowns in Kenya were being purchased for a single occasion, worn once, and then stored indefinitely. The problem wasn't a lack of fashion — it was a broken relationship between clothing and use.
Fast fashion has made it easier than ever to buy — and easier than ever to discard. The average garment is worn just seven times before it is thrown away, and the global fashion industry accounts for 10% of annual global carbon emissions.
We exist to offer a better alternative. Luxury fashion should be accessible, affordable, and responsible. Rental makes all three possible — and we have been proving it since 2015.
